River Report

June 6-14

Expect high flows from June 6-14. Flows will get as high as 8,600 cfs. Wading is not advised and the trail along the river will be closed. Running the river is possible but should be done with caution. Even the smallest rapids on the river turn into large wave trains at these flows. Eddy fences are large at these flows and do sink boats. If you do not have experience rowing big water it is best to wait until flows return to normal.

If you do choose to run the river, enjoy these flows. Anglers should expect marginal fishing for the first few days as the river gets cleaned up. After that nymphing and streamer fishing should be productive.

Be safe out there.
